Create your product categories
Add a product category; its inventory and cost of sales accounts are filled in for you, so you only type the name.

Welcome to FlairSuite. This is the first step towards your first sale: by the end of this series, you will have invoiced a customer and recorded their payment. Every product belongs to a category, so we start by creating one.
First, sign in with your username and password.
Go to System, Master Data, Products Categories. This list holds the groups your products are sorted into. On a new company it starts empty. Click Add category to create one.
Type the category name. We will call it Computers and accessories.
Under Accounting, the inventory account, the cost of goods sold account, and the sales income account are already filled in from the chart of accounts every new company gets. They decide where the value of your stock and the cost of each sale are posted, so you can leave them as they are.
Click Save. The new category now appears at the top of the list, and every product you stock will use it.
Your first product category is ready. Products also need a VAT rate, and a new company has none yet. The next video is: Set up VAT for your sales. Thank you for watching.
