  1. Your employee now has an approved salary. Before you can give them a salary certificate, you need a letter template, so let's write one.

  2. First, sign in with your username and password.

  3. In HR Settings, under Employee Management, open Letter Templates. A new company has no templates here yet, so click New Template.

  4. Give the template a clear title, keep the category Other, and add a short note on what it is for. Leave Active ticked, so the letter is offered when you generate letters.

  5. Now write the letter. Wherever the employee's details belong, click them in the Fields list on the right, here the name, job title, join date, basic salary and total salary. Each one becomes a placeholder that is filled in for whichever employee gets the letter.

  6. Finish with the company name and today's date from System Variables, so every certificate is signed off and dated by itself.

  7. Click Save. The new template is in the list and switched on. Turning this switch off hides it from Generate Letter without deleting it, so prefer it over the Delete button.

  8. You have a salary certificate that fills itself in for any employee. Next video, Give your employee their salary certificate.
