  1. In the last video, we created a housing allowance and a social insurance deduction. Now let's put them on an employee's salary, because a component only reaches the payroll once it is on an approved salary.

  2. First, sign in with your username and password.

  3. Go to Employees, Employee List, and open your employee. Under Actions, click Change Salary. The form starts from their current salary.

  4. Set the effective date to the first day of this month and keep the basic salary at four hundred dinars. Under the additions, enter one hundred dinars of housing allowance, and under the deductions, seven percent social insurance. The totals update straight away.

  5. Add a short comment and click Save. The next screen shows the old and new salary side by side, so you can check every change before you click Final Save.

  6. Payroll only uses approved salaries, so the change now needs approval. As the approver, click Approve.

  7. Back on the profile, open Salary Details. The new salary is now current, with the allowance and the deduction included in the final salary.

  8. Your employee's approved salary now includes the allowance and the deduction, ready for payroll. Before the first run, decide which days count in each month. Next video, Choose when your payroll month closes.
