Set the attendance closing day in the payroll settings, so each month's salary counts the right days of absence and lateness.

  1. In the last video, we added the allowance to an employee's salary. Before running the first payroll, let's decide which days of attendance each month's salary counts.

  2. First, sign in with your username and password.

  3. Go to System, Apps Settings, HR, and choose Payroll Settings from the list on the left.

  4. The attendance closing day can be any day from one to thirty. Absences and lateness up to this day are counted in this month's payroll, and anything after it moves to next month. A new company shows twenty eight, but it is not saved until you click Update.

  5. We will close each month on the twenty fifth, so type twenty five. This gives you a few days to check attendance before salaries are paid at the end of the month.

  6. Click Update. The setting is saved, and every payroll from now on uses it.

  7. Your payroll month now closes on the twenty fifth, so the first run will count the right days. Next video, Run and approve the month's payroll.
