Getting started series
Recording your first attendance
Starting from an empty company, set up and add your first employee with a work shift, then record their check-in and check-out, approve it and find it in the attendance log. Watch in order: attendance can only be recorded for a finished employee, and each video creates something the next one picks from a list. 8 videos, 15 minutes.

Part 1 of 8Create your departments
Every employee belongs to a department, and the employee form cannot be saved without one, so create it first.

Part 2 of 8Add job titles, job categories and employment statuses
Every employee's job details need a job title, a job category and an employment status, and a new company has none of them.

Part 3 of 8Set up your leave types
An employee profile must include at least one leave type, so create your leave types before the profile.

Part 4 of 8Create an employee profile
The Add Employee wizard asks for a profile on its Leave step, and the profile needs the leave type you just created.
2:10
Part 5 of 8Add your first employee
Now every list the wizard asks for has something in it, so you can add the employee whose attendance you will record.
1:59
Part 6 of 8Set the new employee's salary
Only employees whose salary is approved leave the drafts, and only they can be picked when you record attendance.
2:42
Part 7 of 8Create a work shift and assign it
Attendance compares check-in times with the employee's shift, so the employee needs one before their first working day.

Part 8 of 8Record an employee's attendance and find it in the log
With a finished employee on a shift, you can now record when they arrived and left, the everyday task of attendance.
