Add the e-mail account your company sends from
Create an SMTP e-mail profile, so your chatbot and notifications can send e-mail from your own mailbox.

This is the first step towards answering your first customer chat. Your chatbot and your notifications send their e-mails through an e-mail profile, and a new company has none yet, so let's add one.
Go to Customers, Communications, and in the Communications settings on the left, choose Email Profiles. This list holds every mailbox your company can send from.
Click New Profile and give it a name you will recognise. Choose the S M T P type, which sends through your mail server with a username and password. The OAuth type is for signing in with Microsoft three six five or Google instead of a password.
Enter the address your e-mails come from and the name customers will see. Then add your mail server, port five eight seven, with TLS security. Your e-mail provider gives you these settings.
Enter the mailbox's username and password, keep the S M T P protocol with S M T P sign-in, and leave the profile active so it can be used.
Click Save. The profile's own page opens. Ready means every setting it needs is filled in, and the activity below will list each e-mail sent through it.
Test connection sends a real test e-mail to an address you type, so you can check the settings work. Use it with your real mailbox once it is set up.
Your company now has an e-mail account to send from. Next, we tell each kind of message which account to use, so the chatbot sends from this mailbox. The next video is: Choose which account each kind of message uses.
