Welcome to FlairSuite. When you pay a supplier by cheque, the approved payment voucher becomes a cheque you can print and track. Let's issue one.
Open Vendors, Payment Vouchers, and click the approved voucher we paid by cheque. Only an approved voucher can issue a cheque, so nobody writes one before the payment is agreed.
Click Generate Cheque. Enter the number printed on your cheque book and check the date. The amount, one hundred and twenty dinars, and the amount in words come from the voucher, so they always match.
Click View Cheque Details. Here is the cheque number, the amount, the bank it is drawn on, a link back to the voucher, and the amount in words as it will be printed.
Click Print Cheque. Beside the preview, choose the cheque design for your bank, and the crossing, so the cheque can only be paid into an account. We close it without printing.
You can keep notes and attachments on the cheque, such as a scan of the signed cheque. If a cheque is spoiled or lost, Cancel Cheque marks it as cancelled, with the reason.
Later, open Vendors, Cheques List. Type the cheque number and apply the filter, and the cheque is right there, with its supplier, voucher and amount.
That's it. We generated a cheque from an approved voucher, checked its details, previewed it with a design and crossing, and found it again in the Cheques list. Thank you for watching.
