  1. Welcome to FlairSuite. If more than one person or branch keeps a cash box, give each one its own petty cash book. In this short video, we set up a new book and find it in the menu.

  2. Petty cash books are set up under System, Apps settings, Petty Cash. Each type in this list is a separate book, for example one per branch or per cashier. Click New Type to add one.

  3. Give the book a name, then choose the cash account the money is paid from. This matters: a book with no account cannot create any vouchers.

  4. Choose the manager who looks after this cash. Then choose the workflow: one step, where a voucher is approved once, or two steps, where it gets a second check before it is posted.

  5. Credit transactions decides how the cash leaving the account is recorded: one combined entry per voucher, or a separate entry for every line. Left empty, it is combined. Click Save, and the new book joins the list.

  6. The new book now has its own entry under Vendors, Petty Cash, next to the default Petty Cash List. It opens a list of this book's vouchers only, and Create new record starts a voucher in this book.

  7. That's it. The new petty cash book is ready to use. To record a voucher in it and get it approved, watch the video Record a petty cash expense. Thank you for watching.
