  1. Sometimes a customer should not be billed for a while, for example during a rent-free week. Instead of changing the contract, you add an invoicing exclusion. Let's see how.

  2. Open Customers, Contracts, and click the contract you want to pause. Here it is a monthly contract that is already approved and billing.

  3. On the right, open More actions and click Add Exclusion. Enter the first and last day to skip, and a short reason, here a rent-free week. Then save.

  4. The exclusion is listed on the contract as pending. Nothing changes yet, because it only takes effect once approved. Open it and click Submit for Approval.

  5. The approval opens right here on the exclusion page. The approver can approve it, return it for changes, or reject it.

  6. Click Approve. The status is now Active, enforced, so no invoice is raised for that week, and the history shows who added it and when it was approved. If plans change, Cancel Exclusion ends it.

  7. Every exclusion is listed under Customers, Contracts, Invoicing Exclusions. Filter by product, contract, customer or status to find one quickly.

  8. That's it. We paused billing on a contract for one week, got it approved, and found it in the list. Thank you for watching.
